Chicago Transit Authority Oppurtunities

For college and graduate students, we offer year-round paid internship opportunities; during the summer, our internships are for 40 hours per week and during the school year, they are 20 hours per week.  We offer internships in departments throughout the Authority—Human Resources, Law, Engineering/Infrastructure, etc.—and give students real-world projects with meaningful impact.  To be eligible, students must currently be enrolled full-time in school.  For the summer, students can be from throughout the country as long as they can secure housing in or near Chicago. For more information on our college/grad opportunities, visit:  We are currently accepting applications for the summer college/grad program and expect to begin interviews in April.

During the summer, we also offer paid internships to current high school juniors and seniors through Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s One Summer Chicago Program.  As a bit more background, the OSC program at CTA is a paid opportunity in which current high school Juniors and Seniors work in clerical and warehouse positions within the organization. Interns work 25 hours per week for seven weeks during the summer and are placed (as best as possible) in a department that aligns with their career goals. In addition to the paid experience, interns also receive free transportation on the CTA and Pace systems, financial literacy training, career exploration, and guidance from mentors during their time at CTA. To be eligible, students must be enrolled as either a current Junior or Senior, have a 2.5 or higher GPA and live within Chicago.

The deadline to apply is March 16 OSC 2018 flier.updated
